Frequently Asked Questions

Is this French keyboard free?
Yes, completely free. No sign-up, no downloads, no limits.
How do I type accented characters?
Click the accent buttons in the bar above the text area. They are organized by vowel: éèêë for E, àâ for A, etc.
Can I use my physical keyboard?
Yes. Type normally for regular letters. Use the on-screen accent bar for French-specific characters.
Why QWERTY instead of AZERTY?
QWERTY is the most common keyboard layout worldwide. Since you use the accent bar for French characters, the base layout doesn't need to be AZERTY.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The keyboard and accent bar are fully responsive and work on all touch devices.
